BUBBLES!

I got the idea to try this shot out while I was making coffee one morning. I saw the bubbles and thought it would make a neat shot. I ended up having to turn on the lights, turn on the flash, and work to get the bubbles very clear at all. Loved how it turned out. I got lucky (in a sense) that I had to buy a new coffee pot. We don't have anything that's clear enough for this shot.

I set this up by putting the pot into the sink and turning it on to a very fine stream. I used my 30mm macro lens, with my flash on, for this shot. I had to crank the shutter speed as high as it would go and still sync with the flash. That's it. I took about 100 shots, and I really only got one or two useable ones. It takes forever getting the focus right so that the bubbles aren't just a blur of motion.
